The Edelweiss Surf Tour goes into the next round.
On the weekend of 27 and 28 August 2022, 60 surfers will compete against each other on the standing wave at the Urbansurf Zurich Open. They will not only fight for the victory of the Urbansurf Zürich Open and for a price money of total CHF 4000.-, but also for the Swiss Champion title in Stationary Waveriding, which will be awarded at the end of this contest.
There are only a few spots left in the Ladies Division – so don’t miss your chance to show your skills in the fresh waters of Switzerland. Registration deadline is 21. August 2022.
Visitors can experience the contest up close, enjoy exciting surf action and enjoy the vacation feeling in the middle of Zurich. Admission to the Urbansurf platform is as always free of charge.

About the new Urbansurf Zürich Open
The Urbansurf Zürich Open take place for the first time in this form. It replaces the well-known Swiss Wavepool Championship, that has been held for the last five year.
“The event organized by Swiss Surfing and Urbansurf is every year one of the highlights in the calendar of the Swiss surfing scene. The participants start in the four categories ‘ Women ‘ ,’ Men ‘ , ‘ Junior Girls & Boys ‘. The field of participants of the women and men promises high voltage. The level will reach new heights again this year. The elite has become the last 365 days. We are looking forward to the comparison with the European elite and are curious to see how the Swiss pool surfers have developed. Also the Junior -Boys category promises a head-to-head race with Maxi Lex and Rivan Rosskopf. For the girls is also expected to be an exciting competition with Fabiana Klein in the favorite role. We are who will perform best on the wave on day X,” says Carlo Capitanio, the Head of Marketing & Events and Chairman of the Management Board of Urbansurf Zurich.
